2020 At Home Wedding Season Update
Updated: May 27
Covid-19 Wedding Updates
Minnesota: (250 persons or less are currently allowed outdoors)
Great news! Starting May 27th Minnesota is now open to 250 guests for outdoor weddings. When having a wedding on the home property the responsibility for guest safety falls to the property owner. That has always been the case. It's up to you to decide what measure you will take.
We have standards for how you must use our equipment but when it comes to guest safety we're not the ones responsible for making those decisions like a venue because we don't own the property.
For example if you decide that all the touch points on the property need to be sanitized that's your decision and we would suggest putting someone in charge of that task. We would also need to approve your sanitizing agents first to ensure they won't damage our equipment.
During the 10 day follow-up phone call we will be asking what additional precautions you would like us to take as staff. Our team has guidelines we must follow for work place safety that's already in effect.
Food service is up to you and many have chosen to use a plated option instead of a buffet line. Food trucks are another example. As a rental, professional service and food provider that serves outdoor weddings we're a guest on your property, you're in charge.
Wisconsin: (Open but check local guidelines)
To all of you reading this we think you're a superstar! Having to change plans multiple times and continuing to change it. Letting go of the vision you once had and creating a new one from scratch. Working with family and friends who have a million different opinions. How about the times you got frustrated and wanted to just be done with it. The endless news feeds coming to your phone and putting it on airplane mode. Watching the governors news conference and feeling helpless on what to do. Loosing a job, paying the bills, concerned about family or your own health.
This isn't how you imagined the start of the marriage would begin. We hear you and want to let you know you have been a trooper! Great job! We know you can do it! We're here to support you. The two people becoming one is the reason for the day. Everything else might fade away but the fact is the marriage will go on no matter how simple or extravagant the wedding day was.
1, 5, 10, 20, 30, 50, 60 years from the wedding day you will have a choice. Will you look at the day as a total failure or a wonderful story of courage, determination, ingenuity, heart, care and personal development? We're stronger after going through a tough situation. Completing it together as a couple will defiantly make you stronger when you have hope and think about the other person before yourself.
There are many things we can't control when it comes to a wedding day. That goes for life in general as well. We have a choice on how we will respond to each circumstance that comes our way.
The wedding day is the start of a life long journey. The beginning might be a little different than you imagined but history is not written yet and you can choose to be hopeful no matter what.
Have a great day!
